Once upon a time, in the magical land of Evanston, a Craigstlist post drew my attention.  "For Sale - 500+ Vinyl Records" seemed a tagline too good to be true.  No explanations of why the sell, no hint at the contents of five cardboard boxes.  Only an ask for cash and pick-up.

Thus began my journey through the old and musty, the new yet dusty records that are the driving force for this blog.  Some will be good, some will be bad, but I must listen to them all.  Some will have pretty and interesting cover art, some will haunt my nightmares for years to come.  Join me won't you?

As for me, your handsome navigator, at this point in my life I have heard many wonderous things and my music tastes are all over the place.  Rock and or Roll, R&B, Country, Classical, they all have a place.  Techno and Trance, choirs and Folk, it is rare to find a genere that holds 0 appeal for me.  Blame it on my upbringing since my parents had pleanty of vinyl for me to listen to back in the dark ages of the 80's.

The rig used for all this listening is by no means perfect and you are most certainly free to find your own better copies to listen to.  The great folks at Audio-Technica designed a mighty fine turntable with their AT-LP120.  I am by no means an expert but I have loved this baby and the fact that I can use the USB port on it to copy the records for future enjoyment is pretty great.  If you care or are interested, Sony won me over as far as my reciever (STR-DN840) is concerned.  Speaker?  Well, a long time ago a lovely company named Athena was making solid speakers.  Then BestBuy bought them and killed them brutally.  In the golden days of that company they had some lovely speakers in their Audition Series.  They might be over ten years old at this point but they sound pretty as ever.

That is enough about me, go check out the music and the cover art.  That is what is actulaly worth your time.
